5 windsurfere var i sidste uge i kamp til EM i IQ-foil windsurfing.
Stævnet blev afholdt på søen Silvaplana, hvor man kun sejler kapsejlads i syd vesten vind, hvilket der desværre ikke var de første 2. dage, men efter to kolde vente dage kom vi i gang med at sejle.

Første dag på vandet bød på 2. Foil slalom eliminationer, hvor de danske sejlere fik sig vist frem rigtigt positivt. Alle fem surfere havde god fart, og gav den rigtigt god gas i kvalifikationen.

Anden dag på vandet var stævnets helt store dag, hvor guld og sølvfeltet skulle fordeles, så vi var alle tidligt på stranden for at gøre klar og dagen blev startet med 2. ”Course Racing” sejladser, hvor der skulle presses 100% for at sikre sig at komme med i guld finalen, her var Nicklas Lillelund, Christian Justesen og Mads Jepsen skarpe og kunne sikre sig sikkert videre i guld feltet. Marinus og Alfred måtte endte lige præcis sig i sølvfeltet.
Guld og sølvfeltet fik efterfølgende 4. sejladser hvor jeg synes alle kan være meget tilfredse med deres performance.
Ovenpå en lang dag havde vi en fælles middag med hele det danske team og vores grej leverandører Mikkel Asmussen der var nede og holde øje med hvordan det gik de danske sejlere.

Efter en lang dag med 6. sejladser, skulle der på sidste dag sejles 2. sejladser som skal fordele placeringerne for EM.

Sidste dag bød på let vind hvilket favoriserede de lettere sejlere, så der skulle pumpes en masse.
